Give Obama a chance??? Sorry I'm not boarding the Titanic

So the half black muslim decides to give his first interview on a foreign country Arab TV station and tells them "America is not your enemy." Ok that's a start, but then he goes on to bash America and say "Too often America dictates and does not listen." Hey Barack baby, America just liberated 50 million people in Iraq and Afghanistan and made the world a safer place. People say to give him a chance.Well I always warned about him making us a socialist state during the campaign and people wouldn't listen. Now we are becoming a socialist state right before our eyes. I'm opposed to a trillion dollar stimulus package loaded with pork. I'm opposed to the redistribution of wealth, I'm opposed to the nationalization of banks as proposed by Nancy Pelosi and other dems. Speaking of Nancy Pelosi, she is recomending billions of dollars in the stimulus package for birth control and abortions to stimulate the economy saying smaller families are a good stimulus. Never mind the fact that she has five kids herself. I'm opposed to nationalizing our health care system which would be a disaster. I'm opposed to closing GITMO and sending those terror maniacs to our neighborhoods and giving them miranda rights as Obama has suggested. Miranda rights apply only to citizens of this country, not foreign terrorists. A caller to Sean Hannity's show said Obama is the captain of the ship now and we should support him and give him a chance. At this point the way we are heading, he is captain of the Titanic headed for that fateful iceberg.
Obama met with Republicans to discuss his stimulus package. A blogger site had spies within the meeting who sent e-mails out about what was going on inside. Here is a copy of that meeting as posted on Drudge and comments that followed:

Tales From The Inside: What Obama Told Republicans

President Barack Obama went to Capitol Hill today to push Republicans to back his $825 billion stimulus plan. While they probably won't, he won points for reaching out to the minority, making good on campaign promises. What's more, chief of staff Rahm Emanuel plans to fete more Republicans tonight. At the meeting today, Obama's comments were to be off the record, but we've got some notes on how it went down. Here's what we were told and E-mailed from various sources:

- "Obama is speaking now. He is talking about how bad the economy is and that it is deteriorating rapidly."
- "Mentioned Caterpillar and Microsoft having to layoff workers."
- "The president said that the stimulus is 'just one leg in multi leg stool to get economy going.'
- "He wants to deal with the housing market more aggressively."
- "This is just the first step."
- "Obama said the he would 'like not to have to spend the stimulus money.'"
- "He also said that he has 'no interest in increasing government just to increase the size of government.'"
- On taxes, "Obama says tax relief for some working families must come from payroll so even families who don't pay income taxes get relief and they will spend it."
- On GOP complaints, "he said that 'there will be time to beat him up and a time for politics. He said I understand that and I will watch you on Fox News and feel bad about myself.'"
- "Obama said if we can do more small business tax relief, 'we should do it, but I am just as concerned about the long term impact of tax cuts as I am about spending.'"
- "He also issued concern about the debt. 'I will be judged by the legacy I have left behind. I don't want to leave our children with a legacy of debt. I am inheriting an annual yearly debt of over $1 trillion.'"

Crybaby
First he takes a shot at Limbaugh, now Fox News. Is it just me or does this President seem awfully thin-skinned?

They have the majority and don't need the Repubs so why are they scared
Obama wants the Republicans to go along so he will have someone to blame since they must feel this isn't going to work. Otherwise, they would just go ahead and pass the thing since they don't need to Republican votes. And why does Obama always have to bring up FoxNews and Rush Limbaugh. This man is nothing but divisive. There is nothing about him that is bipartisan and nothing about him that isn't sneaky. To me it seems so obvious but the policicans and news media people are like high schoolers that want to be cool and with the in crowd, to go along. Are their any grownups in the crowd anymore?

The Audacity
GOP people need to wake up. This guy is going to push the most radical leftist agenda in U.S. history. This country is a center-right country and we should keep centrist policies in place. Contrary to people thinking Obama doesn't have a clue, it's scary to actually realize he has a clue and the first seven days of his administration should put the GOP on alert.
No playing favorites. The Dems want to silence us. We can't just kill them with kindness. This isn't some Student
Senate from your college days.

The coming Obama disaster

While the great unwashed in this country is worshipping and having triple orgasms over their new messiah, he who ascended from the heavens at Vesco field with the offer of hope and change, he who can walk on water, he who can change water into wine, he who is going to pay their mortgages and pay for their gas, are all totally unaware of the caliber of disaster that is about to befall them. As Rush Limbaugh said "Hope is just another word for doing nothing."

DickMorris recently had an excellent article about Obama's coming socialism which I have excerpted here:

But it is not his spending that will transform our political system, it is his tax and welfare policies. In the name of short-term stimulus, he will give every American family (who makes less than $200,000) a welfare check of $1,000 euphemistically called a refundable tax credit. And he will so sharply cut taxes on the middle class and the poor that the number of Americans who pay no federal income tax will rise from the current one-third of all households to more than half. In the process, he will create a permanent electoral majority that does not pay taxes, but counts on ever-expanding welfare checks from the government. The dependency on the dole, formerly limited in pre-Clinton days to 14 million women and children on Aid to Families with Dependent Children, will now grow to a clear majority of the American population. Will he raise taxes? Why should he? With a congressional mandate to run the deficit up as high as need be, there is no reason to raise taxes now and risk aggravating the depression. Instead, Obama will follow the opposite of the Reagan strategy. Reagan cut taxes and increased the deficit so that liberals could not increase spending. Obama will raise spending and increase the deficit so that conservatives cannot cut taxes. And, when the economy is restored, he will raise taxes with impunity, since the only people who will have to pay them would be rich Republicans. In the name of stabilizing the banking system, Obama will nationalize it. Using Troubled Asset Relief Program funds to write generous checks to needy financial institutions, his administration will demand preferred stock in exchange. Preferred stock gets dividends before common stockholders do. With the massive debt these companies will owe to the government, they will only be able to afford dividends for preferred stockholders — the government, not private investors. So who will buy common stock? And the government will demand that its bills be paid before any profits that might materialize are reinvested in the financial institution, so how will the value of the stocks ever grow? Devoid of private investors, these institutions will fall ever more under government control.Obama will begin the process by limiting executive compensation. Then he will urge restructuring and lowering of home mortgages in danger of default (as the feds have already done with Citibank). Then will come guidance on the loans to make and government instructions on the types of enterprises to favor. God grant that some Blagojevich type is not in charge of the program, using his power to line his pockets. The United States will find itself with an economic system comparable to that of Japan, where the all-powerful bureaucracy at MITI (Ministry of International Trade and Industry) manages the economy, often making mistakes like giving mainframe computers priority over the development of laptops. But it is the healthcare system that will experience the most dramatic and traumatic of changes. The current debate between erecting a Medicare-like governmental single payer or channeling coverage through private insurance misses the essential point. Without a lot more doctors, nurses, clinics, equipment and hospital beds, health resources will be strained to the breaking point. The people and equipment that now serve 250 million Americans and largely neglect all but the emergency needs of the other 50 million will now have to serve everyone. And, as government imposes ever more Draconian price controls and income limits on doctors, the supply of practitioners and equipment will decline as the demand escalates. Price increases will be out of the question, so the government will impose healthcare rationing, denying the older and sicker among us the care they need and even barring them from paying for it themselves. (Rationing based on income and price will be seen as immoral.)And Obama will move to change permanently the partisan balance in America. He will move quickly to legalize all those who have been in America for five years, albeit illegally, and to smooth their paths to citizenship and voting. He will weaken border controls in an attempt to hike the Latino vote as high as he can in order to make red states like Texas into blue states like California. By the time he is finished, Latinos and African-Americans will cast a combined 30 percent of the vote. If they go by top-heavy margins for the Democrats, as they did in 2008, it will assure Democratic domination (until they move up the economic ladder and become good Republicans). And he will enact the check-off card system for determining labor union representation, repealing the secret ballot in union elections. The result will be to raise the proportion of the labor force in unions up to the high teens from the current level of about 12 percent. Finally, he will use the expansive powers of the Federal Communications Commission to impose “local” control and ownership of radio stations and to impose the “fairness doctrine” on talk radio. The effect will be to drive talk radio to the Internet, fundamentally change its economics, and retard its growth for years hence. But none of these changes will cure the depression. It will end when the private sector works through the high debt levels that triggered the collapse in the first place. And, then, the large stimulus package deficits will likely lead to rapid inflation, probably necessitating a second recession to cure it.So Obama’s name will be mud by 2012 and probably by 2010 as well. And the Republican Party will make big gains and regain much of its lost power. But it will be too late to reverse the socialism of much of the economy, the demographic change in the electorate, the rationing of healthcare by the government, the surge of unionization, and the crippling of talk radio.

Dick Morris has been known to be wrong before.Let's hope something happens to prevent this ungodly "change" that's about to fall upon us.

Questionable transition picks and Orgasms over Obama

Anyone closely following the Obama transistion can see we are in grave trouble. First you have Eric Holder for attorney general who was involved with the Marc Rich pardon and the pardoning of the FALN terrorists amongst other things. Pardoning terrorists in a post 9/11 world???? That's insane and dangerous and now he's going to be attorney general??.

Next we have Hillary Clinton for Secretary of State who secretly wants Obama's job. Her husband's receiving millions and millions of dollars from foreign governments for his library is clearly a conflict of interest yet she sails right thru. What do you expect with someone like John Kerry heading the committee.

Next we have Tim Geitner for Secretary of Treasury. Here's a guy who didn't pay his taxes for four years and didn't pay his foreign house keeper's taxes either. Can you say Zoe Baird or Kimba Wood? Harry Reid calls this "just a hiccup along the way." A person doesn't pay his taxes and is going to head the IRS and this is just hiccup? An e-mailer to Laura Ingraham said this is not double standard , but a triple standard. If it's a democrat it's just a hiccup, if it's a republican it's a major scandal and if it's a private citizen it's jail. Well said I may add.

Next we have Leon Panetta, former chief of Staff to Bill Clinton as designated head of the CIA. This is a guy who let Bin Laden get away severl times and called off a chance to assasinate him when we had him in plain site.

The Obama Inaugaration is costing us 150 million dollars. That's a 100 million more than any past inaugarations. Bush's inaugaratuion cost 48 million and dems yelled too high, too much etc. Now theirs is costing 100 times more and it's OK. This during a recession and also congress voting themselves a $4000 pay raise during a recession. One dem congressman rationalized it saying it covers his expenses like when he went to Iraq and Afghanistan and other trips he'll take in the future. Give me a break. I always have to laugh when I hear congress votes on giving themselves a raise. Like who's going to say they don't deserve a raise. GEEEEZ.

Through all this people are still having orgasms over the half black muslim. They have Obama t-shirts galore, a bakery in some state is making cookies with Obama's face on it, there is a special Spiderman issue coming out with Obama and other assorted Obama stuff and I read that actor Will Smith is already signed to play him in a movie already.Talk show host Montel Williams is hawking Obama commemorative coins. This features a quarter with Washington on one side and Obama on the other, a kennedy half dollar with kennedy on one side and Obama and Kennedy on the other and a Liberty dollar with Lady Liberty on one side and Obama on the other. What a disgrace!!! I hope this all comes back to bite everyone in the face and say they are sorry they voted for him. And they will be. The left is already saying he is betraying them with meeting with conservatives at George Will's house the other day and considering keeping GITMO open which I think is a good idea. As Karl Rove said recently on Hannity and Colms, "It's one thing to criticize the president during the campaign, but once they see the intelligence they see things differently" and I think that's what's happening with Obama. Besides, with Obama's obsession with Lincoln with wearing a top hat at his Inauguration and being sworn in on the same bible Lincoln used and serving Lincoln's favorite foods at the Inauguration, he better not be planning any trips to the theater, especially when they have special events at the newly renovated Ford's Theater. :D

Random Thoughts Not Necessarily Related

I see Joe Biden is heading to Afghanistan to meet with President Harmit Kharzide about sending 38,000 troops there to help fight the taliban. Watch all the anti-war people sit on their hands and grit their teeth in silence and do nothing since it's their guy Obama sending in the troops now, not Bush. Just like they sat on their hands and did nothing when their guy Clinton bombed three countries on two continents to distract from his scandals and hunt for WMD's. Innocent people died their too, but Bush lied thousands died they said even though Bush is protecting us from those Islamofascists who want to destroy western civilization as we know it........Speaking of war, Isreal is defending itself from an onslaught all around them with Hamas, Palestine and Al Queda all determined to wipe them of the face of the earth. Isreal has defended itself and shown great restraint over the years, now Palestine launches 500 missiles in their homes and schoolyards and people died ,they retaliate and the world comes down on them. Libs in this country wring their hands and cry about the poor Palestinians who are dying. Give me a break. Isreal is defending itself, besides, I never heard of an Isreali suicide bomber. Here is an excerpt from a David Horowitz article that sums it up: "In 2006, these Islamic Nazis took possession of the Gaza Strip, which is unoccupied except by Hamas and is Jew-less (because the Palestinians would kill any Jews that moved in their state). Hamas has turned Gaza into a terrorist fortress, launching rockets into Israeli schoolyards, hospitals, and townships, and launching them from Palestinian schoolyards, hospitals, and townships to ensure that the maximum number of civilians – both Jews and Muslims – would die for their cause. They will win the Armageddon they are planning, they boast, because “the Jews love life and we love death.”
And all around the world, and across Europe and throughout the United States, Muslim and secular radicals are rallying to this Nazi cause, supporting Hamas and attacking Israel and the Jews. The unholy alliance formed by Muslim fanatics and socialist radicals is the face of the terrorist future in the West. It is a coalition for whom no party is so evil that it does not deserve aid and comfort if its enemies are Israel and the United States, and if it is willing to attack them. ............Recently Ann Coulter was interviewed by Harry Smith on CBS who asked her about Obama's chances of being assasinated in office because he's black. Ann answered in her most inimitable way "Obama is a lot safer than Bush was because all presidential assasins have been anarchists, communists and liberals and those are Obama's base.":D Way to go Ann.........On a lighter note, for you people interested in oldies music, I recently purchased a DVD called Ricky Nelson Sings. I have always been a Ricky Nelson fan. Not only does it have all his songs from when he sang them on the Ozzie and Harriet Show, (who were his parents) but also has interviews with folk singer Kris Kristofferson and Ricks's three sons and daughter Tracy Nelson which are quite interesting. At the end his three sons perform and sing Rick's famous song "Garden Party." I always liked that song. It tells when Rick performed at Madison Square Garden in New York with other famous performers at the time such as John Lennon and Bob Dylan. When Rick came on he sang his hit song Hello Mary Lou and then went in some new songs he was writing. The audience booed him becase they wanted to hear the old songs so Rick says in the song,"I learned my lesson well. You can't please everyone so you have to please yourself ." Two of his sons are blonde and one is dark like Rick. His facial expressions while singing are identical to his dad's with the eyes romantically closing and opening slowly. It sends loving chills though you. Look for it if you care to see it and are a Rick Nelson fan. I got mine in the local Best Buy.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button-a review

In a break from my usual commentaries I'm presenting a review of the new Brad Pitt movie The Curious Case of Benjamin Button based on a short story by F.Scott Fitzgerald which I found extremely well written, well acted with a good intriguing, quirky storyline and a few misty eyed scenes. The story involves a young boy,Benjamin Button who is born like an 85 year old man. His mother dies in childbirth and the father thinking this wrinkly baby is a monster grabs him from the cradle and tries to throw him in the river, but ends up leaving him on the door steps of a senior citizen home run by a young black woman named Queenie who raises him like her own child.

Through the years Benjamin learns things from the old folks there like playing the piano and writing things and befriends a young girl named Daisy who is the grand daughter of one of the residents. When Benjamin (now played by Brad Pitt) becomes 20 years old he looks 65 and befriends a tugboat captain and signs onto his tug. When WW11 breaks out the tug is commisioned to the navy and is attacked at sea by the Japanese. Benjamin is the only survivor and goes onto several adventures and meeting interesting people. This part reminded me of a little like Forest Gump and the people he met thoughout his life. Through all this he sends postcards back to Daisy now played by Kate Blanchett and who is now a famous stage dancer and keeps in touch with her. The negative side of his condition is that as he gets older, he becomes younger as everyone else gets older. When he's 60 he looks 20 and so on.

I found the movie to be very intropesctive as when Benjamin tells Daisy "Nothing lasts forever" and when he encounters his father or the first time before his father dies who leaves him his button business Button's Buttons and his sailboat.

The entire movie is told in flashbacks from a diary Benjamin kept now owned by Daisy and read by her daughter to her as Daisy lays dying in a hospital a very elderly lady. I won't reveal the ending but only to say that this is a must see. If you don't see it in a theater then you can catch it on TV or DVD. It is long at two hours and 45 minutes, but very engrossing with good solid performances not seen much in today's movies. Don't miss The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Those who would like to know the ending can email me for the info. :D
