Angry Letter to Alan Simpson. A Republican Who Stinks!!!

I recently received a letter by a man sent to Congressman Alan Simpson, republican from Wyoming, who I consider an enemy to the cause and party when he called today's seniors "the greediest generation." This man's letter to Simpson says it perfectly and I thought I'd list it here so everyone can see it and write to Simpson..

Alan Simpson - Former Republican Senator from Wyoming calls seniors greediest generation - "We had the greatest generation -- I think this is the greediest generation"

~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Here is a response letter sent by a man in Montana .....who, like most of the rest of us, has just about had enough. There isn't a word that is false and I am believing that many Americans are beginning to think along these same lines ...

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Hey Alan, Let’s get a few things straight …

1. As a career politician, you have been on the public dole for FIFTY YEARS …

2. I have been paying Social Security taxes for 48 YEARS (since I was 15 years old.
I am now 63) …

3. My Social Security payments, and those of millions of other Americans, were safely tucked away in an interest bearing account for decades until you political pukes decided to raid the account and give OUR money to a bunch of zero ambition losers in return for votes, thus bankrupting the system and turning Social Security into a Ponzi scheme that would have made Bernie Madoff proud …

4. Recently, just like Lucy & Charlie Brown, you and your ilk pulled the proverbial football away from millions of American seniors nearing retirement and moved the goalposts for full retirement from age 65 to age 67. NOW, you and your shill commission is proposing to move the goalposts YET AGAIN …

5. I, and millions of other Americans, have been paying into Medicare from Day One, and now you morons propose to change the rules of the game. Why? Because you idiots mismanaged other parts of the economy to such an extent that you need to steal money from Medicare to pay the bills …

6. I, and millions of other Americans, have been paying income taxes our entire lives, and now you propose to increase our taxes yet again. Why? Because you incompetent bastards spent our money so profligately that you just kept on spending even after you ran out of money. Now, you come to the American taxpayers and say you need more to pay of YOUR debt … To add insult to injury, you label us “greedy” for calling “bullshit” on your incompetence. Well, Captain Bullshit, I have a few questions for YOU:

1. How much money have you earned from the American taxpayers during your pathetic 50-year political career?

2. At what age did you retire from your pathetic political career, and how much are you receiving in annual retirement benefits from the American taxpayers?

3. How much do you pay for YOUR government provided health insurance?

4. What cuts in YOUR retirement and health care benefits are you proposing in your disgusting deficit reduction proposal, or, as usual, have you exempted yourself and your political cronies? It is you, Captain Bullshit, and your political co-conspirators who are “greedy”. It is you and they who have bankrupted America and stolen the American dream from millions of loyal, patriotic taxpayers. And for what? Votes. That’s right, sir. You and yours have bankrupted America for the sole purpose of advancing your pathetic political careers. You know it, we know it, and you know that we know it. And you can take that to the bank, you miserable son of a bitch.

Always say what you mean ! !
Always mean what you say ! !
NEVER COMPROMISE .........

Darlene Love in Concert

They say it's not Christmas until you see Darlene Love and Wednesday night's concert at BergenPAC in Englewood, N.J. proved they were right. At 70 years old Darlene looks great and sounds great and looks exactly like in the picture above. Performing in a shiny gold jacket over a satin gold pantsuit and alternating between 4 and ten back up singers and an 8 piece band, Darlene proves she's still got it, full of enthusiastic enegy and can really wail.
For those of you not familiar with Darlene, she was in the original girl band groups of rock n' roll in the 60's being produced by Phil Spector who was a recording and producing genius before going insane recently. Darlene appeared prominantly on his famous Christmas album which she sang songs from last night. Darlene appeared in groups such as The Crystals and Bob E. Sox and the Bluejeans. She also appeared in the broadway production of Hairspray for three years doing 8 performances a week with only one day off each week.,"I'll never do that again," she said, "But we did have a lot of fun even though it was exhausting." She also appeared in all four of the Lethal Weapon movies as Danny Glover's wife.
At Wednesday's concert she opened with "Joy to the World" followed by "Marshmellow World."Darlene then went into some of her early hits such as "Da Doo Ron Ron," "The Boy I'm Gonna Marry," He's a Rebel" and "The Boy I Love."
After a brief 15 minute intermission Darlene returned and did "Winter Wonderland" and "White Christmas" She then introduced surprise guest Freida Payne who I haven't heard from since 1970 with her hit "Band of Gold" which she sang. Freida sang a few jazz numbers and Darlene joined her on Marvin Gaye's "How Sweet It Is (To be Loved By You)"
Darlene said she waited until she was 40 years old to begin a solo career and it was then that Bill Medley of the Righteous Brothers influenced her to go solo. She was in L.A. at the time when Stevie Van Zandt of Bruce Springsteen's band got her to come to New York to perform. That was 30 years ago she explained and she's been performing ever since. Her greatest accomplishment was being recently inducted into to the Rock 'n' Roll hall of fame. Darlene ended her concert with a fabulous encore everyone had been waiting for, her big hit Christmas song, "Christmas, Baby Please Come Home" which got everyone clapping and and singing along. The whole cast came out for that song including six of the cutest ten year olds in red dresses with white fur trim, one of which was Darlene's granddaughter all dancing to the song. Darlene has been singing that song every year now on the David Letterman Show and will again this year on Thursday night. To see Darlene sing that song on Letterman's show from last year, just click on the link below and enjoy. :)

Repealing Don't Ask Don't Tell

Now that Obama has signed the law repealing Don't Ask Don't tell this now opens a whole new can of worms. What if a straight soldier accuses a gay soldier of something will the gay accuse him of harassment or a hate crime and vice versa. What if a commander orders a gay soldier into battle and he refuses, can the gay soldier accuse the commander of a hate crime or harrasment? This has been a purely emotional response and not thought thru in my opinion. Obama said now soldiers will not have to face living with a lie. I agree with some of these comments below:

How does keeping quiet equate to "living a lie". Dont ask dont tell does not force anyone to live a lie. It simply asks to keep it to yourself.

This is Obamas' attempt to get the gay vote in 2012. He knows he needs to get all he can between now and then. The gays only want to use this as a stepping stone to get benefits and gay marriage passed nationwide. I prefer blondes, what can I get from the government for that?

Hooray ! Unemployment is the highest it has been since the great depression. The financial system continues to abuse the country and is in shambles. The congress continues to cater to the special interest groups while the rich get richer and the middle class continues to shrink. The education system in the US is second rate ranking very low in the world. Jobs and technology continues to leave the US at a alarming rate. Illegal aliens continue to cross our borders putting strains on local communities and infrastructure. Not to mention all the murders and deaths reported between drug trafficers and anyone that stands in their way. AND THE NATIONAL SUCCESS IS THE REPEAL OF "DONT ASK DONT TELL". Way to earn the money we pay you in taxes and address the most important issues facing this nation !

Whats going to happen, when openly gay individuals, end up in close intimates quarters, such as showering together? Everyone has choices to make concerning how they want to live BUT when their choices impose upon the freedom of another person something is wrong. I am a heterosexual male and would not want an openly gay man staring at me while in my bed clothes, or God forbid, taking a shower. It would be the same type of infringement on personal space and privacy if I were to go to the female service persons bed quarters or shower. Heck, if people are going to be openly gay in sensitive situations like this, then we might as well do away with all gender classification. Let there be no male nor female. Lets just all live, sleep and shower together. This is in exactly the same "spirit" as openly gay individuals serving in the military. IMO, it is going to help to undermine the moral in the military and will serve to destroy our national security.

Mad Dog!
11:13 AM Dec 22, 2010
Now that it settled the military will have to address other issues related to this. For example, will gay/bisexual/lesbien couples be able to get spousal benefits. Will they be permitted to have anal/oral intercourse while aboard navy ships, submarines, and in the field? That may take a few weeks to figure out.

Jeff

And now the amount of Soldigers in the field who die from freindly fire will be a huge issue. It will now become, since gays openly serve, open hate will greet them.

We have lost our moral compass in this country. Mark my words this will not end well. Voluntary enlistsments will fall and the draft will have to be reactivated to fill the military ranks.

Tales of the Bizarre-Obama Bails on Press Conferance

I saw this column by Bob Eberle today and he says it better than I could and to the point. I thought you'd enjoy reading it. I also included some comments that followed it. I guess Clinton is the co-president now to bring in during emergencies. What a wuss Zero is. He truly is not prepared for the job and in over his head. During the campaign he said he didn't like being hands on and only liked motivating people. That's not what this job calls for. Any normal person doing something like this on their job would be fired from their job especially after repeated failures. I know I would.

Tales of the Bizarre: Obama Bails on Press Conference
By Bobby Eberle December 13, 2010 7:13 AM

Since Barack Obama became president, we have witnessed what happens when someone is elected to a job but is clearly not ready for that job. I'm not simply talking about a man who crumbles when his teleprompter goes on the fritz. It's so much more than that. Obama has bashed his own country in an effort to gain favor with other nations. That didn't work. He rammed through left-wing policies without building (or at least trying to build) a consensus. November gave us an indication of how well that went over. And now, the journey of Barack Obama is complete... completely clueless, that is. On Friday, Obama not only brought in former President Bill Clinton to explain the new tax deal, but then he left his own press conference! I guess he felt he was turning things over to the one person who knew what was going on.
Here's the story... The current tax rates which apply to all Americans are set to go up at the end of the year. Despite having legislative control for two sessions, the Democrats waited until now, when they were forced to do something. As usual, they wanted to engage in class warfare and raise taxes on the so-called "rich" while keeping other levels the same. America was not going for it, and neither were the Republicans and some blue-dog Democrats.
Obama was forced to actually work with Republicans and come up with a deal that would maintain all current tax rates at least for a couple of years. Faced with backlash from the left and perhaps the growing realization that America is not a "community organizing" project, Obama once again gave us a reminder that he has no idea of how to be president. In one of the most surreal moments of the presidency, Obama called a press conference to explain the tax deal. But it wasn't just HIS press conference. He also invited Bill Clinton to help explain.
The idea that Obama has to have back-up from a former president on a current legislative issue is bizarre enough, but then things really got weird. In the middle of the press conference, Obama bailed out. He took off. That's right... Obama exited the building and left Clinton in control of the press conference. As you can imagine, Clinton didn't complain.

Obama opened the press conference by already hinting that he might leave early, because he had "one more Christmas party to attend." Are you serious? He calls a press conference about a national issue and is already telling reporters that he has to leave for a party. But, hey, that's cool, because we're in "good hands" with Bill Clinton at the helm. We are talking about the president of the United States, and he is looking less presidential and less in control with each passing day.
The reaction to the Obama press conference bailout has been one of stunned amazement. As
FoxNews.com reports, Mark Knoller, a White House Correspondent for CBS Radio, said, ""I don't recall an episode like this before."
Knoller has covered every president since Gerald Ford and added, "Former presidents have visited the WH on prior occasions for ceremonies or meeting, but I don't recall any having the WH briefing room lectern turned over to them by the sitting president as happened today."
In an article in the
Bradenton Times, editor Dennis Maley found the whole event surprising, because, "For starters, President Obama is continuously criticized (sometimes unfairly) for a complete lack of experience. Reagan never handed the keys to Nixon, nor Clinton to Carter, and even W. never brought Daddy in to close out the show."
Maley: What may have been less foreseen by President Obama's team, however, was the stark contrast in what the military calls command presence. Seeing President Clinton in front of the microphone, deftly parrying the tough questions of the White House Press Corps, I couldn't help but wish that the former Arkansas governor was doing more than consulting in these harrowing economical times.
Command presence. Some have it, and some don't. America is learning the hard way that when you elect an ideologue with no executive experience (actually, no experience whatsoever), you get someone who is in over his head. That is Barack Obama. It is becoming quite apparent that the presidency is too much for him to handle. What's he going to do during the 2012 presidential debates? Have Clinton sub for him?
---------

FedUpConservative December 13, 2010 9:53 AM
That was almost surreal. I've never seen a President leave a press conference like that...unbelievable. Instead of addressing an issue that affects the entire country, he left to go to Christmas party. Do not matters of a national concern trump the impatient tapping of MO's foot? I never thought I'd see a bigger clown in the Oval Office than Clinton, but BO is proving me wrong.

This fool continues to EMBARRASS the country, himself AND the REST of the world( I do a lot of international traveling;people are mystified that americans could elect such a BUFFOON!!!; it's also VERY hard to explain without admitting that the MAJORITY of voters in prez elections are CLUELESS of history/ economics/ politics/ science...)...Also disturbing is how enamored the Blue-shirted Liberal NAZIZ in the lamestream media are of BOTH Zero-Bama AND Bill"the Raper"....The inability of the LSM to SEE facts is only trumped by their DENIAL of REALITY

liberalfascist December 13, 2010 11:25 AM
This does not surprise me at all. Honestly I would not be surprised to wake up one morning to find Obama turned over the US to Osama. I am dead serious about this. He is clueless and what makes matters worse when it comes right down to it, He is a coward. If N Korea was to nuke S. Korea what do you think Obama would do? Launch a Minuteman Missile? a Nuclear Tipped Cruise Missile? or call a press conference expressing his desire to end the conflict without further loss of life?He is DANGEROUS, but only to America and her Allies (not that we have any left now) As much as I hated clinton for lying to the face of the American people I would much prefer him to Obama but this is what happens when you let College Kids, welfare mommies, zero liability voters, and the Dead vote. We should ONLY allow property owners, their immediate families, and tax payers vote. And by taxpayers I mean those who do not get every penny back in April as those people are not taxpayers, they are just people who loaned money to the
Government.

Burlesque

I just came from seeing the Christine Aguilera and Cher movie "Burlesque" and I must say from my point of view it comes well recommended. The story concernes Ali (Christina Aguilera) who is a small-town girl with a big voice who escapes hardship and an uncertain future to follow her dreams to LA. After stumbling upon The Burlesque Lounge, a majestic but ailing theater that is home to an inspired musical revue, Ali lands a job as a cocktail waitress from Tess (Cher), the club's proprietor and headliner. Burlesque's outrageous costumes and bold choreography enrapture the young ingenue, who vows to perform there one day. Soon enough, Ali builds a friendship with a featured dancer (Julianne Hough), finds an enemy in a troubled, jealous performer (Kristen Bell), and garners the affection of Jack (Cam Gigandet), a bartender and fellow musician. With the help of a sharp-witted stage manager (Stanley Tucci) and gender-bending host (Alan Cumming), Ali makes her way from the bar to the stage. Her spectacular voice restores The Burlesque Lounge to its former glory, though not before a charismatic entrepreneur (Eric Dane) arrives with an enticing proposal.

All the characters are well defined, the costumes spectacular and dancing stupendous, sexy and very sensual. It truly captures the art of burlesque with fan dances, clothes falling off the body while still hidden behind small objects to tease the mind and the music is energizing. Cher is her fantastic self as the owner of the Burlesque lounge who hires Ali. Cher is being hammered by a real estate developer to be brought out, but she refuses to sell even though she is behind in payments and has no money left and the bank refuses to loan her any. Christine sings eight new songs in the movie and really wails. She is showing that she is following in Cher's footsteps of becoming a singer first then fine actress.

The romance between Ali and a very handsome Jack (newcomer Cam Gigandet) is very sensitive as he plays the bartender and struglging musician/songwriter of the club who offers Ali a place to stay. The relationship is cute and tender, but without its' trials and errors such as Jack's fiance who is working in New York and calls every day while he is in L.A. falling for Ali and a charismatic real estate developer who wants to buy Cher out and also wants Ali. Stanley Tucci is good as nice guy wardrobe /stage manager who advises Cher and Jack on their current issues and problems.

Burlesque is a great movie to see if you are a fan of dancing, musicals and good acting and story. Check out the trailers I have provided below for a good idea what to expect..

The Tourist

I just got back from seeing the Johnny Depp/Angelina Jolie movie the Tourist and I liked it in spite of tepid reviews. It's the perfect date movie as the guys can drool over Angelina Jolie who is utmost ravishing throughout with her large exotic eyes made up exquisitely to enhance their natural beauty and her famous pursed lips and sultry voice and girls can drool over handsome, boyish, cool in the face of danger, Johnny Depp.

The story concerns Angelina Jolie as an Interpol agent in the financial crimes division who's lover, Alexander Pierce is a fugitive thief wanted in 14 countries and has stolen 2 billion dollars from a British gangster who surrounds himself with Russians and owns and operates all the brothels and casinos in Italy. Naturally the Agency wants Pierce because he owes millions in back taxes and wants the money returned and the gangster wants his money back. The gangster is ruthless and has killed every man his wife was involved with. It all has a familiar James Bond type theme to it throughout with great and humorous boat chases through Venice's canals. The gangster reminded me of the heavy set actor Gert Frobe from Goldfinger and in fact, Timothy Dalton, who has played James Bond in the past, has a small role as the chief Inspector from Scotland Yard.

Angelina gets a note from her lover, Pierce, delivered outside a French cafe instructing her to find someone of similiar height and build and make them think it's him..This is where Johnny Depp comes in and they meet on a train. He is just an innocent tourist in France. What follows is a trail of twists and turns that are fun and suspenseful. I particularly was fascinated by all the electronic tracking equipment the agency uses.

In an article I read, it seems Johnny Depp's real life live in partner and mother of their two kids was so jealous of her Johnny appearing opposite Angelina that she was on the set daily to make sure things didn't get too hot and heavy and who could blame her. The studio kept the two of them hundreds of miles apart. In fact Johnny had to fly in an hour and a half each day during filming.

The ending has the kind of twist I like and I was taken by surprise though my wife suspected it. If you feel like a good movie with great eye candy for both sexes, check out The Tourist. Click on the link below for the trailer and you'll see what I mean

Understanding British Protests

When I first heard about students rioting in England I was confused as to what they were rioting about. It's over college tuitions going up after they are used to the government paying for it. Now they are going to have to pay for it. This is a pure example of the disaster that is socialism. I found some letters written on a site that explains it quite clearly, however I think it's gotten way out of hand with having the police being brought in and throwing bricks and eggs at Price Charles and Lady Camilla and shouting things like "Off with their heads.". They will get farther protesting peacefully than resorting to violence.

At the same time, they see a minority basking in untold wealth and using every possible loophole to avoid paying tax. Unless the Lib Dems can be seen to start reducing such inequality soon, they may be wiped from the political map in the next election.
Geoffrey Payne
London W5

What sort of message are we sending the next generation, those that have the guts to protest that their future is under threat, when we send charging horses and police in riot gear at schoolchildren and young students.
Many of these young people will become our leaders, and providers in the not-distant future . Let's hope they don't remember this, and vote for euthanasia for our senile generation, a generation who obviously care so little for them (unless their parents are wealthy) that we are happy to deny them an education that many of us (myself included) took for granted as a right when we were their age. I despair.

Dave Morgan
Beddington, Surrey
It is not students who will be paying back large sums of money; it will be adults earning a substantial salary. It is therefore not the Lib Dems who are responsible for the rioting: it is Labour Party members for incessant misrepresentation of the Lib Dem position with the intention of destroying the Liberal Democrat party – which may very well succeed.

Tom Hetherington
Canterbury
On the day of the vote for a 200 per cent increase in university tuition fees more than one Liberal Democrat MP has given the excuse of "Well, we didn't win the election", suggesting that having failed to secure a majority they have necessarily compromised their position.
This is, of course, complete nonsense. In the real world their promise to vote against a rise in tuition fees was a promise to vote against a rise regardless of which party they would be in a coalition with. Their decision to turn their backs on the thousands of voters who supported them in the last election marks the end of the Liberal Democrat party as a serious contender.
Paul Tyler

Canvey Island, Essex
Thousands of floating voters decided who to vote for based on the promise not to increase university fees. Nick Clegg and Vince Cable now claim this was unrealistic and have broken that promise. If they want to be taken seriously as a major political party in future they should call an immediate election and let the public decide again. It is not fair that we are stuck with liars for the next five years.

Peter Bergman
Altrincham, Cheshire
I fully support the right of students to protest peacefully. However we can no longer believe the assurances of the organisers. Students must now accept the decision of a democratic government to raise the fees. If they do not like it, then they must work to change their MPs at the next general election.
Police who use unnecessary or unreasonable force should be and are disciplined. But equally we need to recognise the extreme pressures on police officers in these circumstances, quite apart from the considerable costs to the public purse.

Rupert Ward
Chislehurst,
Kent
From the point of view of the security forces, Thursday's collision between the students' demonstration and the Prince of Wales's procession showed at best a lack of information and at worst stupidity.
From the point of view of those protesting about the Government's expectation that they should suffer to buoy up an economic system previously plundered by fat cats, to have thrust into their midst the very embodiment of pointless, outdated and unaccountable privilege could be seen as nothing less than crass provocation.
Cameron described the students' reaction as "regrettable", which may be appropriate, but to call it also "shocking" merely demonstrates how unaware he is of the anger felt by a huge number of betrayed voters.

Obama the wuss and Jennifer Grey attacks Bristol Palin

Now that the Republicans have passed the tax cuts that Obama was so dead set against, instead of saying this is a good thing for the country (which he did say) he has to add that he is being taken hostage by the republicans and they are the hostage takers. He tells his party that you don't deal with hostage takers unless the hostage is hurt. I take it he is referring to himself here since everything is always about him anyway. This is another demonstration of his weakness as a president and as a man. It's no wonder the rest of the world looks at us as weak now which is what he wants. What a wuss!!!!! As Reagan once said,"Weakness invites aggression. Peace through strength" which is the opposite of what we have now. Man up O and say this is what's best for America. To be mad that you didn't raise taxes on the rich is class warefare.

The rich have been taxed to death in all the previous administrations. They are the ones who keep this economy going. The rich aren't people like Disney's Uncle Scrooge sitting around on stacks of money counting it all day. The rich are people who own companies and hire people and give raises. The libs are crying about the lack of jobs now, well lower taxes and you will see how fast jobs become available. Reagan lowered taxes substantially and created 20 million new jobs. He had the best economy and everyone did better, even the poor because the rich donated substantially to charites. The rich buy yachts, expensive jewelry and invest in realestate and that all goes back into the economy. When you tax them on those things they stop buying and hiring and the economy suffers. The rich are people who work six and seven days a week sometimes 10-12 hours a day and don't take vacations. Why should a person who works that hard be taxed so much. Right now 20% of the population pay 90% of the taxes.

I am a big fan of Dancing With the Stars and this season I was rooting for Jennifer Grey. I was glad she won because she had a lot of adverse things in her life and currently like having a few cancerous cells removed from her neck, hurt ankles and slipped discs in her back the day of the finals. So I was glad she won. Now an interviewer askes how she felt beating a Palin and she replies,"It felt damn good." I lost all respect for her with that statement. She was up against Bristol Palin, Sarah's daughter (who has been receiving a lot of flack lately) and the interviewer set her up by saying she accomplished what Obama and Joe Biden did by beating a Palin. First of all, that was unfair question besides being inaccurate and a set up because Sarah wasn't running, McCaine was. The interviewer made it sound like they were running against Sarah. Probably because there is so much talk now about Sarah ruining in the next election, but for Jennifer to respond that way was just mean spirited and unprofessional in my book. Check out the interview below:

Tis' the Season Alright. Atheists At It Again

Christianity has been on the attack in many countries around the world and now it is becoming stronger here as more and more people from those countries come here. They say they come here to escape the oppression from their countries, but instead they bring those same beliefs here. The politically correct crowd threatens people with their views and people are so afraid of offending someone they cave in. This is especially true with muslims after 9/11. People are so afraid of offending muslims now they cave into them.

Recently I heard a radio report about a dept. store somewhere that refused to put up Christmas trees for fear of offending someone so they were putting up pointsettas because they don't offend anyone they said. In another case, The Chase Bank in Southlake,Texas ordered a man to take down a Christmas tree he arranged with the bank manager to put up in their lobby because it would offend some people. The man was the owner of a nearby spa and the manager was one of his best customers. He asked her first and she agreed. He installed a nine foot tree and decorated it himself with proper Christmas decorations and now he has to take it down because it might offend someone. He was outraged and said he has 35 trees he decorates on his property where his spa is and his landlord who is a lawyer let's him put up a tree in his office and he's jewish. If these people say putting up Christmas trees might offend someone well then I'm offended they don't have one up.

In another situation, Atheists have erected a billboard outside the Lincoln tunnel in North Bergen, N.J. that shows the three wise men approaching the manger and says , "You Know it's a myth. This season celebrate reason." then it says sponsered by the American Atheists and gives a web address. FOX News reporeted it after several people found it offensive. Unfortunately they are entitled under the first amendment, but there's always someone who's going to be offended by something no matter what side you are on.

JosephFarah of WorldNet Daily was angry at the billboard company because this was the same company that denied him access to putting up his "Where's the Birth Certificate" signs for Obama that a different company is putting up for him now.

The organization calls the biblical account in Genesis of Adam and Eve a "fable," and argues since that story was made up, "then Original Sin is also a myth, right?" "All we are asking is that you take what you know into serious consideration, even if it means taking a hard look at all you've been taught for your whole life. No Adam and Eve means no need for a savior. It also means that the Bible cannot be trusted as a source of unambiguous, literal truth It (sic) is completely unreliable, because it all begins with a myth, and builds on that as a basis. No Fall of Man means no need for atonement and no need for a redeemer. You know it." Further, the group claims, "Christians don't own this holiday, and never did. Christianity is neither the first, nor the 5th, nor the 10th mythology to adopt the Winter Solstice as their major day. Mythra, Bel, Krishna, Horus, and even the Mayan Qetzalcoatl were all born on the Winter Solstice."
It was the second time, at least, Lamar has slammed Christianity. Previously, it posted the message "Are you good without God?." But when the "birth certificate" billboard campaign was launched by WND founder and CEO Joseph Farah, Lamar spokesman Hal Kilshaw told WND his company was "just not going to accept that copy." "We think it's a settled matter," he told WND at the time. "We think it's misleading to indicate there's any question about the president's birth certificate. We looked at it and we made the call.""We don't have any reason to distrust," he said.
The slam against God, however, is "not a question of a fact; just a point of view from people," he said.

Clear Channel also rejected the "birth certificate" question. The "code of industry principles as a guide for content" from the Outdoor Advertising Association of America includes the industry's support for the First Amendment, and calls on companies to "Observe Highest Free Speech Standards." (Highest free speech standards? Then why did they reject WND's billboards if not for free speech?)

WND has reported on dozens of legal challenges to Obama's status as a "natural born citizen." The Constitution, Article 2, Section 1, states, "No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President." Some of the lawsuits, including those reaching the Supreme Court, question whether he was actually born in Hawaii, as he insists. If he was born out of the country, Obama's American mother, the suits contend, was too young at the time of his birth to confer American citizenship to her son under the law at the time. Other challenges have focused on Obama's citizenship through his father, a Kenyan subject to the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom at the time of his birth, thus making him a dual citizen. The cases contend the framers of the Constitution excluded dual citizens from qualifying as natural born. Others argue one cannot be a "natural born" citizen without two citizen parents. Farah says the billboard campaign is at last part of the reason early in 2009 only half the nation even was aware of a controversy over Obama's billboards, but recent polls indicate six in 10 Americans no longer fully believe Obama's birth narrative

Chris Isaak in Concert

Tonite I saw Rockabilly singer Chris Isaak in concert and what a pleasurable surprise he was to see. Let me preface my review by saying Chris was not on my wife's and my must see list. A very close and dear friend of ours is a big fan of his and was originally supposed to see him with two of his friends, but when they cancelled out we thought it would be a nice gesture to treat him for our Christmas gift to him, especially since he was recently unemployed. He couldn't thank us enough and we all enjoyed the show. I could have enjoyed it more had I not been battling this head and chest cold.

Chris has been around for 25 years now starting in 1984 and has been with the same band for those 25 years which is always a good sign. His style is more of a rockabilly and rock n roll sound and he credits his chief influences as Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis and Roy Orbison. He did mini tributes to each of them also.

Chris Isaak was born in Stockton,Calif. the son of Dorothy,a potato chip factory worker and Joe Isaak a forklift operator. He has two older brothers Nicky and Jeff and had his own talk show on TV the Chris Isaak show from 2001-2004 and the Chris Isaak Hour on Biography from 2009 to the present. He's also made many guest appearances on various TV shows .

In Thursday night's concert he showed that he and his bandmates have lots of fun together as they did various dance routines while playing their guitars and joking with one another. Chris even takes his show into the audience and even up in the balcony where we were. At one point he started out doing Jerry Lee Lewis' "Great Balls of Fire" and for some reason the keyboard player was out of tune so Chris stopped in the middle and went straight into a lovely rendition of Elvis' hit song "It's Now or Never."

Beings it's the Christmas season Chris also did a few Christmas songs for us. One was called "Merry Christmas from a Million Miles Away" I was thinking it was going to be about a soldier writing home at Christmas, but as Chris explained after the song, it was a guy watching his ex girlfriend with a new guy in the house he used to be in with her at Christmas time. I didn't realize it was about that until Chris mentioned it at the end. He admitted it was a bitter song, but the tune is so catchy and toe tapping you don't get that feeling. Chris mentioned that everyone watches Jimmy Stewart in" It's A Wonderful Life" at this time of year so he had a verse in there that says "Jimmy Stewart is with his friends/Bells are ringing/it's near the end." He also did a happier original Christmas song and a great rendition of "Rudolph."

Chris and his band did great tributes to Elvis with such songs as "Got to Get to You","Please Love Me" and "She's Not You" as well as the afore -mentioned "It's Now or Never". They also did Roy Orbison's" Pretty Woman" and another try at Jerry Lee Lewis' "Great Balls of Fire." This time getting it right. Not to be outdone they did James Brown's "I'll Go Crazy."

Most bands I've seen do about two or three encores. Not with these guys though. We counted at least ten songs for an encore. Chris said they had a new album coming out and were just throwing things together and if you've never been to a jam session, this is what it's like.

It was such a pleasure to see that there are still singers who put on a good clean show without all the noise, obscenities and controversey. Chris Isaak is that kind of act. If you are into rockabilly music and good rock'n'roll then try to catch him if he comes to a hall near you.
